How it started?

Every record tells a story. Starting from hobbies; the owner, Gemuruh Anak Ing Langit who always has his eyes for vinyl records collection. His fondness to let people have an ear in timeless collections and share with the friends (and still is!). That was how we came up with the idea of a place for vinyl lovers to enjoy music in different way.

 

Why is it called '78rpm'?

The 33, 45, and 78 RPM all are speed at which the most common commercially available vinyl records spin at represented in revolutions per minute/rpm. The records themselves are often referred to by their speed. 78rpm was the standardized speed for all first records from 1901 to 1948 before 33rpm and 45rpm released to public. And it was stopped production due to material efficiency.

Thus to reminiscence the history, we named it '78rpm'.
